Pets Best Insurance:
Your Pregnant dog is covered too!

Pets Best Insurance covers some things that other plans do not, such as Pregnancies (not all breeds). Also, you can travel Anywhere in the world. Only one other company in the USA offers this.

A good thing; if your pet has a cruciate ligament injury on one side of the pet, the other side won’t be considered pre-existing. Many companies say that if your pet had cruciate ligament injury on one side, the other side is considered pre-existing.

With Pets Best Insurance some pre-existing conditions may change to non pre-existing, for example, broken leg, once healed, may not be considered pre-existing.

Petsbest website is very informative and explains everything. They do not seem like they are hiding information.

No benefit schedule with Pets Best Insurance! Meaning, they reimburse you for what you pay.

The exact policy is different for every state.

Drawbacks of Pets Best Insurance:

• Don’t cover many specialists (only acupuncture and chiropractors). Specialists are often what end-up costing the big bucks!
Maximum Lifetime limit- They have a maximum lifetime limit, although it is quite high, this could potentially be a problem if your pet comes down with something that is very expensive to fix. However, they have large per incident limits and so the likelihood of going over is lowered.
Pre-existing coverage: their website says that they do not cover pre-existing conditions, this is typical, however, they also say that a dition can be considered pre-existing even if your pet has no signs or symptoms. In my opinion, this could potentially be a problem.
Ongoing conditions- pets with ongoing conditions, such as diabetes, will not be covered for full health, instead you can get accident only.
Congenital Conditions- They also don’t cover congenital conditions (conditions that your pet is born with, even if it’s not noticeable).

The recommended plan of Pets Best Insurance is Pets First with a $250 deductible.
